North Carolina Security Guard Training



There are many opportunities to get into the security guard industry in the state of North Carolina. Many firms are actively hiring. However before you can become employed you need to make sure that you get the right security guard training. All security guards in North Carolina must get licensed.

There are a few prerequisites before you can register however.


  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • No prior felony convictions
  • Complete and pass training within 30 days of being hired
  • Send a digital copy of your fingerprints for analysis
  • You are a legal U.S. resident
  • Be employed by a licensed security company and do some on the job training
A few other skills and training that will help are the possession of a valid driver's license, in good physical shape, excellent communication skills and the ability to work alone for lengthy periods of time.
